Paul E. Christman, age 74, of Lasselsville and Stewart’s Landing is now enjoying fishing up in heaven. He passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 13, 2022. He was born at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY on July 2, 1948, the son of the late Clifford and Lena (Smith) Christman. Paul attended Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School and graduated with a class of 17 students. He then attended the early Fulton Montgomery Community College, followed by SUNY Geneseo where he majored in Math Education. He finished his university education at SUNY Albany with a master’s degree in Math Education (grades 7-12). Paul taught junior high school math in Northville Central School and then Calculus and Computer Programing in Fort Plain until his retirement in 2003. He was especially proud of the house he built on Stewart’s landing. Paul was also a member of the Pine Tree Rifle Club in Johnstown, NY where he served as Vice President and Board Member, orchestrated club dinners, ran the skeet field and organized the annual raffle. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sandra (Piper) Christman; son, Aaron Christman; daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Mosser; grandson, Tony Mosser who he referred to as his cookie buddy; as well as numerous aunts, cousins, and others he was happy to call his friends. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by a brother, Clifford Christman, Jr. In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
