Patrick Joseph Burns, age 74, of Emigsville died peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Born in York on February 28, 1948, he was the son of the late Gerald A. and Miriam I. (Sterner) Burns. He was the longtime companion of the late Conni Jones. Pat was a graduate of Eastern York High School. After graduation, he worked at Therm-Air Manufacturing and American Chain and Cable before moving to FL in 1974. Upon his return to York, he worked at Cedar Village Townhouses where he had the pleasure of meeting Conni and her son, David. He retired from the Yorktowne Hotel as an IT Tech having started there in 1979 handling the maintenance of all aspects of the 8-story hotel and working his way up. Pat enjoyed riding his motorcycle alone and with friends. He kept busy with a variety of hobbies and projects while helping to care for the beloved cocker spaniels he and Conni cherished throughout the years. One of his regular dinner pastimes was socializing at Round The Clock Diner, his favorite place to eat. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. His stepsister, June (Christine) Sarge preceded him in death. A graveside service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Greenmount Cemetery, 721 Carlisle Avenue, York with Pastor Kelly Shiflett officiating.
