Obituary Patricia Martin, 91, of Garrett Park, MD passed away on December 16, 2022. Born in Washington, DC on November 15, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Ray and Mary Evelyn (Raley) Barnes. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis X. Martin and loving mother of Catherine Narup (Richard), Patricia Dodd (late Wesley), George Christopher Martin, Timothy Martin and the late Francis Gregory Martin. She was also the devoted grandmother of Adam Martin Narup, Elisabeth Narup Zager, Candace Elisa Dodd, Alexis Patricia Mullis, Catherine Ann Croy, Joseph Wesley Dodd, Marissa Nicole Martin, Christopher Brett Martin, Daniel Joseph Martin and Erika Lyn Martin; cherished great grandmother of Brycen Narup, Trevor Narup, Logan Woolworth, Nadia Ens, Audrey Croy, Hailey Dodd, Penelope Dodd and Nora Satten Martin; caring sister of Beverly Rae Blum, Donald Ray Barnes and the late Nancy Jane Johnson. Patricia loved being surrounded by her family, listening to classical music and opera and tending her gardens. She was an avid reader, wrote poetry and followed current events. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 9:30-10:45 am in Holy Cross Church, 4900 Strathmore Avenue, Garrett Park, MD followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Doctors Without Borders or Holy Cross Church. Read more
