Norma Jeanne Clark, 86, and life-long resident of Delaware, passed away peacefully Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born October 8, 1936 in Bucyrus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Curtis & Maxine (Barlow) Nicholson. Jeanne graduated from High School and went on to attend the Ohio State University. Receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Jeanne began her nursing career at Grady Memorial Hospital, and retired from Worthington Christian Village. With many other facilities receiving her skills in between. When Jeanne wasn’t working, she was volunteering her time to her community. She was a proud Democrat, and worked at the polls during the elections, she was also a volunteer nurse for the schools, and even day camps within Delaware County. She had a soft spot for all animals, and even people, her house was open to anyone and everything that needed it. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Judge Thomas C. Clark in 2016, and sister Barbara Piatt. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Casey (Anna Travis) Clark, and Kelly (Jim) Campbell; grandchildren Katie (Matt) Devris, Spencer, Griffin, and Alena; nieces and nephew Sharie Mezydlo, Karie Bowser, and Bobby Piatt. Jeanne loved her family, and loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed anything with crafts, including knitting, crocheting. She will be remembered as the strong, loving, and supportive mother, grandmother, and aunt that she was. It was Jeanne’s wish to be cremated. Private services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed towards a charity of the donors choosing.
