View Tribute Book Naomi Marie Homes was born July 24, 1921 in Loves Park, IL to Charles and Vera Frederick. She graduated in 1940 from Harlem High School. After Nurses Training, she was employed as Office Assistant to a prominent Rockford, IL Physician and Surgeon. She was married to Raymond Carl Holmes on July 31, 1943. In 1952 they moved to Pomona, CA until 1954. Moved back to Rockford and again employed by same Physician. They again moved back to Pomona in 1959 and she was employed at a Rehabilitation Center and later at Landmark Medical Center retiring in 1972 to be her Mother’s caretaker. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting, camping and family gatherings. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Rural Homemakers of Chehalem Vallley and Vasa Order of America, and Tre Krenor Lodge of Salem, OR. Her survivors include: Carl Richard Sjoholm (Ellie) of Salem and Denise Marie Holmes of McMinnville, son, David Holmes and grandson, Ryan Holmes and Joel Holmes, granddaughter, Sara Holmes and grandson, Matthew Holmes, 2 great granddaughters, Courtney and Alexia, a nephew, James Frederick (Pam) of Portage, WI and two great-nieces and a great nephew. She was preceded in by parents, brother, Franklin Frederick in 2000, husband Raymond in 2000, son Rodney and grandson Adam in 1992. In lieu of flowers a donation to Bethel Baptist Christian School, 325 Baker Creek Road, McMinnville, OR 97128 or charity of your choice.
