Obituary Milton Ray Carroll went to be with the Lord and rejoice with family members on February 4, 2022 in Palestine, Texas. He was born in Athens, Texas on September 27, 1963 to “Cookie” Milton Joseph and “Leenie” Charlene Malcolm Carroll. He was named after his father and grandfather but was known to many as “Hippie” and enjoyed living his life as a free spirit. Milton Ray never married or had children of his own but he spent his life being the “Greatest Uncle” ever. He loved and lived for all of his nieces and nephews and claimed them as his own. So he was also known as “Uncle Milton”. The uncle that would sneak around and give them cookies, beef jerky, or tootsie roll pops before dinner. He loved them dearly and cherished spending time with them. Milton had many hobbies over the years. As a young man, he spent lots of time fishing. He really enjoyed working on his cars and cleaning them was a joy not a chore. He was a big Harley Davidson fan and appreciated the free feeling of riding a motorcycle. There was a special place in Milton’s heart for his faithful companion, Coco. There haven’t been many dogs spoiled more than his. He would sacrifice to make sure Coco didn’t go without. This was the kind soft side that he never tried to hide. He had a huge heart for all of his pets throughout his life and they were never forgotten. The last few years were a struggle for Milton Ray his health declined. He spent a lot of time making sure that all of his family and friends knew of his love for them. He enjoyed reminiscing about childhood memories with cousins. He was such a giving person that he went to great lengths to make sure that his nephew and nieces would know that his love for them would live on forever and not end when he left this world. He believed in living life on Earth to the fullest and was looking forward to being free in Heaven. Milton Ray was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, June and Sheila. He was a selfless, gentle, loving uncle, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend that will be greatly missed by his beloved dog, Coco, nephew, James Carroll, and nieces, Ashley Eyman and husband Brian, Crystal Feagins and husband John, and Tracy Barrows. Great nephews Brandon and Justin Adair, Logan Feagins, Levi, Brayton, and Liam Barrows and Jagger Carroll. Great nieces Natalie Franklin, Kaylee Eyman and Peyton Barrows, aunts Sissy and Uncle Doug Harris and Debra Cairy, brother Leslie Carroll, along with many cousins and friends. He was also blessed to have bonus family members, James Mitchell and Sherry, Dustin Eyman and Shayne, Dillion Eyman and Heather, Shane Satterfield, Rusty Franklin, Dusty Franklin and Robyn, Colby Weesner and Tommy, and Alisha Baird and Daven.
