Obituary Marilyn Esther Luebke (nee Hoffmann), age 82 of Charlack, Missouri, Asleep in Jesus, Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was born on Friday, November 24, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Paul and Esther (nee Kummer) Hoffmann. She was baptized into Christ on December 17, 1939 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ferguson, Missouri. Her family moved to Overland, Missouri, when she was in the first grade and they joined Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She attended grade school at Our Redeemer and was confirmed on March 29, 1953. Her confirmation verse was Deuteronomy 33:12. She then attended and graduated Lutheran High School Central in 1957. During high school, she received classical training in piano at the St. Louis Institute of Music. Her love of the piano and performing for others continued throughout her life and she enjoyed the more popular music rather than classical and also volunteered playing for church, St. John’s Place, and Laclede Groves. One of the favorite fun pieces she played was “Black Hawk Waltz”. Marilyn married the love of her life, Ralph Luebke, on October 10, 1959 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, where they have remained active and faithful members. Through the years, she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, played the piano for Monday evening services, and was an Oasis reading volunteer for the parish school. Marilyn had many lifelong friends from grade school and high school. Her grade school friends formed a group called the “Sweet Tomatoes” and they met regularly at various local restaurants. Most important to Marilyn was her faith and her family. She loved them all unconditionally and prayed earnestly for them. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Ralph Luebke; four children, Julia (Daryl) Wesche, Janice (Rev. Martin) Schoenfeld, Paul (Laura) Luebke, and Jeanette (Chris) Keating; 15 grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) Warren, Rebecca (Rev.
