Obituary Margurite Franklin Lee, 89, of Bullard, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, due to complications of a series of strokes and pneumonia. Margurite was born in Hemphill, Texas on September 27, 1933. She married the love of her life, Billy Lee, on January 5, 1956. The union produced one son, Sammy Lee, after the couple moved to Lufkin, Texas. The young family made the move to Tyler, Texas, in the mid 1960s. While in Tyler, Margurite worked for Ford Motor Company. She retired from Ford in 1996. She stayed in Tyler after her husband passed away in 2006, moving to Jacksonville, Texas in 2017 to be closer to her son and his wife. The last city she called home was Bullard, Texas between 2021 and her death. Margurite is preceded in death by her parents, Dee Clear and Inez Franklin; her brothers DC and Curtis Franklin; her husband, Billy Lee; and her son, Sammy Lee. Margurite is survived by her brother, Ben Franklin and his wife, Myra, both of Huntsville, Texas; her sister, Shelia Smith and her husband, Leonard both of Jacksonville, Texas; her daughter-in-law, Tammy Lee, of Jacksonville, Texas; and several nieces, great nieces and great nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Still Waters Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville with Jake Sledge officiating. Read more
