November 9 1941 November 15 2022
Margaret L. “Doll” Fuller, 81, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. She was the sixth of nine of children of the late Francis and Virginia Payne. Margaret graduated from Steelton Highspire in 1958. She married George C. Fuller of Homestead , Pennsylvania. Their union of 58 years produced three children. No stranger to hard work. Margaret worked as a nurse with the Pennsylvania State Hospital and later pursued a career as a librarian for Downey Elementary before retiring. During her tenure with the school, she accepted the role as President of her local ASCME Union and the Vice President for the State of Pennsylvania. She proudly noted she never lost a case while in office. Margaret obtained her associates degree and pursued her bachelor’s degree earning her a membership in the International Honor Society in Social Science. She loved to cook, read, shop, and spend time with her family. She was a tenacious, yet gracious and generous person. Her greatest accomplishment were her children, but more importantly she loved the Lord. She would always ask; did you go to church today? It did not matter if it was Monday or Sunday. She wanted to make sure her family knew the Lord. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Sean A. Fuller, siblings, William Colston, Virginia Payne-Rieves, Marshall Payne, and Frederick Payne. Those left to cherish her memory: her husband, George C. Fuller, daughters, Monica L. Fuller and Denise R. Turner (Larry) , stepson, Keith L. Crowell (Sandra), daughter in law, Dr. Bridgette D., siblings, John Francis Payne, Shirley Travis, George Samuel Payne (Linda) and Michael Payne (Carol), five grandchildren, Lanay, Ciana, Zahria, Myles, Marcus, goddaughters, Nicole Austin-Hillery and Lisa Fulton and a host of relatives and friends. The family would like to thank you for your thoughts and prayers during this time.
