Obituary Madeline “Madge” Woody Frisbee, age 83, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, surrounded by family at her residence. A native of Haywood, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Allie Kirkland Woody, in addition to her parents, Madge was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Woody, and sister, Delois Woody. When family and friends describe Madge, three words immediately came to mind, amazing, wonderful, and beautiful both inside and out. For 27 years, Madge was a clinical nurse at Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community. When she was away from work, Madge enjoyed bowling with Carl and working in her bountiful garden in the springtime. These past many years, Madge enjoyed coloring and putting together puzzles with her loved ones. Madge is survived by her husband of 68 years, Carl Frisbee, of Fairview; her daughter, Kathie Earley and her husband, Wayne, of Fairview; two sons, Wayne Frisbee, of Knoxville, Tennessee and Steve Frisbee, and his wife, Patricia, of Weaverville; two sisters, Martha Burrell and her husband, Ray, of Mars Hill and Nancy Smith and her husband, Gary, of High Point; her brother, Mack Woody and his wife, Ruby, of Candler; six grandchildren, Amy Stevens, Scott Harris, Jeremy Harris (Bea), Travis Earley (Brittney), Dakota Frisbee (Kerri), and Jason Frisbee (Sara); ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the Wells Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Tim Lolley officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service in the Chapel of Faith.
