Obituary Lynn Daimwood Caylor, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, went home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2022 at the age of 71. Lynn was born to Sam and Angie Daimwood on July 27, 1951 in Columbia, TN. She graduated from Central High School in 1969 where she was an honorable mention All-State basketball player. She went to Columbia Community College before transferring to the University of Tennessee where she earned a degree in education in 1973. In 1976, she received her Masters from the University of Tennessee. She was a life-long Vol fan and passionately cheered for the Volunteers even in her final days. Lynn dedicated her life to her husband and three boys. She spent almost 20 years homeschooling her children. In addition to her boys, Lynn loved and cherished her cats, of which she had too many to name. After her children left the home and her husband retired, they created precious memories traveling around the United States and the world. As a devoted Christian, she was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Sevierville. She treasured her Sundays teaching kids in Sunday school. She was a pivotal part of the FBC’s Christmas store and each year she looked forward to running the children’s toy section. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Angie, and her brother Phil Daimwood. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jimmy Caylor; her three sons, Sam Caylor (Erin) of Knoxville, TN, Mack Caylor (Susan) of Sevierville, TN, and Jimmy (JP) Caylor (Emma) of Newport News, VA; two grandchildren Xander and Zoey Caylor; three nieces who knew her affectionately as Aunt Lynnie, Brandy Daimwood-Bouchy (Brett), Dixie Daimwood-Westberry (Kristen), and Daisy Traback (Taylor); and multiple great nieces and nephews who she truly loved. “The best way to leave your mark on this old world is to raise good, Godly children.” In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to First Baptist Church of Sevierville, Children’s Ministry, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862. The family will receive friends 5-6:45 PM Monday, December 12, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Sevierville with a funeral service following at 7 PM with Pastor Dan Spencer officiating. Interment 11 AM Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Middle Creek Cemetery. Online condolences can be shared at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com. Read more
