Rose Hill, VA. Linville Eldridge 82, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Middlesboro A.R.H. He was born in Harlan County, the son of the late Manuel Eldridge and Lela (Browning). After High school he joined the United States Navy and served the country honorably during Cuban Missile Crisis. He served as part of the blockade of Cuba that forced them to surrender. After his military he then joined General Motors where he retired from. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Vickie. He is survived by his wife Rosa Lee Eldridge, two daughters Cheryl List, and Connie Coyne, one son Linville Tommy Eldridge, two brothers, Ernest Eldridge, and Charles Eldridge wife Marie, three sisters, Phyllis Garren, Glenna Saylor and husband C.S., Vivian Gibson, his mother in law Martha Wilder, other close relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. for the visitation at Holding Funeral Home of Rose Hill. The funeral service will be conducted following in the funeral home’s chapel. The committal service will follow in the Lee family cemetery in Rose Hill.
