View Tribute Book LILLIAN EDITH CANTRELL STILTNER, 86 years age of the Poplar Creek section of Grundy, VA, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at her home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Linkous Vandyke and Betha Alice (Street) Shortridge. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Slate Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a retired cook with the Buchanan County School System and Bellacinos Restaurant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Jacob Cantrell; second husband, Elster Kermit Stiltner; Grandparents: Jim and Patty Street; Special Aunt and Uncle: Harrison and Martha Street; In-Laws: Pleasant Bartholomew and Cinda (Stiltner) Cantrell; 2-Brothers: Verlin Shortridge and Billy Shortridge; 2-Infant-Great-Grandsons: Christopher Barton and Logan Stiltner; 1-Son-in-Law: Chris Ramey. Those left to cherish her memory include 5-Daughters: Cinda (Wayne) Hagy, Nellie (Michael) Stiltner, Sandra (Burlin) Owens, Sherry (Randy) Deel and Denise (Keith) Boyd; 2-Sons: Ronnie (Nora) Cantrell and Elder Henry (Connie) Cantrell; 4-Sisters: Pauline Wilson, Wilma Vandyke, Wanda Deel and Vivian Gross; 1-Brother: Ferrell Shortridge. Also, survived by 22-Grandchildren, 20-Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. with Elders of the Primitive Baptist faith. Funeral Services for LILLIAN EDITH CANTRELL STILTNER will be conducted Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: Don Stacy, Ked Stacy and Donathon Stacy officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
