Leonard Nason, 86, of Brighton, passed away on Thursday, December 29 at his home. Mr. Nason owned and operated Nason Sheet Metal for over 30 years, a member of the Covington Evangelical Church and a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Faye Cullum Nason; two sons, Jonathan (Angie) Nason and Jeffery (Megumi) Nason, both of Covington; two sisters, Mary Finch of Lebanon, TN and Diane Dunlap of Ripley; two brothers, Willard “Sambo” (Judy) Nason and Samuel “Skipper” Nason, both of Burlison and five grandchildren, Ellie Nason (Isaac) Spitler, Anna Nason, Amy Nason, Elijah Nason and Kate Nason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Beatrice Nason; three sisters, Joyce Smith, Judie Whiteacre and Gloria Dryer and three brothers, Bernard Nason, Ronald Nason and Phil Nason. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Covington Evangelical Church or The Gideons International.
