Mr. LeeAnder Watkins, Sr. was born May 18, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late James and Mary Watkins. On November 15, 2022 at the age of 81, he peacefully passed away at Henry Ford Health in Jackson, Michigan with family by his side. LeeAnder married Loretta Watkins in 1964, and moved to Jackson, Michigan in 1965 where they shared a beautiful life with 4 children. LeeAnder was a devoted son, brother, father, uncle and grandfather. He shared a special relationship with all of his family; he was their word of wisdom. LeeAnder served in the US Army from 1963 to 1966, he was a proud Veteran. He was also a devoted member of the Prince Hall Masons for 15 years. LeeAnder loved bowling, watching his Westerns movies and running the Saulk Trail Post for the last 50 years. In addition to his parents; James and Mary, LeeAnder he is preceded in his death by his 14 siblings; Kirk Watkins, Sevira Brown, Porter Watkins, James Watkins, Jr, Fred Watkins, Leonard Milligan, Helen Hawkins, Betty Watkins, Glady Robinson, Lillian Watkins, Dannetta Johson, Fannie Mckennie, Rommona Stover, and Joyce Booker. LeeAnder leaves behind one sister; Karlotta Cummings, his wife; Loretta Watkins, four children; Terrilyne Lartta, Vikki (Charles) Johnson, LeeAnder (Barbara) Watkins, and Jaki (Curtis) Watkins, grandchildren; Satin Sumner, Ebony Watkins, Martell Watkins, Anthony Watkins, Khalil El, Jessica Rose, Evelyn Watkins, LeeAnder Watkins, III, Makeia Watkins and Curtis Adams, Jr., as well as 22 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
