Lawrence ‘Larry’ Lanham of Covington passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the age of 71. He is survived by son, Kenneth Lanham, Miami, FL; sisters: Carol Chester, Baltimore, MD; Sondra Kay Neisser, Columbus, GA; niece Rosa Fryer, Covington; 3 grandchildren and friends everywhere. Larry retired in 1991 with 22 years of service in the army, army national guard and army reserve as an SSG-E6 and civil service in Fort Meade, Maryland. He also delivered flowers for Riedels Flowers and Wilhide Flowers and worked with Baltimore Florist Co-op. Larry was a past commander of American Legion Post 77, past 10th District Commander State of Georgia American Legion and other various offices in the American Legion. Funeral service will be held Monday January 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the American Legion Post 77 in Conyers. Family will accept friends from noon until 1:00 pm the day of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Legion Post 77, 674 American Legion Road, Conyers, GA., 30012. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
