Obituary Please share a memory of Lanny to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book Lanny “Doug” Phelps, 80, of Sunman, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. He was born May 15, 1942 in Winchester, Indiana, son of the late Harold and June (Lawler) Phelps. Lanny was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Batesville YMCA and attended the Garden Park Unity Church on Galbraith Road. He was an avid walker and loved going to watch movies and talk politics. He worked at Anchor Glass. He is survived by his daughter, Angelique Gamble; 2 grandchildren, Lani Phelps, Jacob Gamble; and one great grandchild, Prudence Hollin He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and June Phelps; and his wife, Verna Phelps. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 3 pm, with Pastor Tim Halloran officiating. Contributions may be made to the Family.
