Kennis Allen “Ken” Necessary, 78, of Damascus, VA passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 in the Abingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center, Abingdon, VA. He was born in Washington County, VA on February 29, 1944, a son of the late James and Ora Necessary. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammilea Heath. He was a life long resident of Washington County, VA and was a well known carpenter. He enjoyed singing and playing music. Ken is survived by a daughter, Terrilyn Necessary Blevins and her husband, David, of Damascus, VA and her mother, Jane Necessary; two grandchildren, Tristan Edevane and his wife, Midnight; and Mackenzie Grace Heath; one sister, Patsy Marple and her husband, Bill; a special friend, Susie Lawson; and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at anytime at the residence, 204 Damascus Drive, Damascus, VA on Saturday, December 17th and Sunday, December 18th.
