June Alice Gilvary entered into her eternal resting place late on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the age of 81 years old. She was born May 22, 1941 in Flushing Hospital to proud parents Viola Grace (Bauer) and Henry Otto Lang. She graduated from PS 134 in Queens and from Andrew Jackson High School. She would later go to technical school to become a lab technician where she helped a countless number of people. She will be remembered by everyone who knew her as strong, stubborn, and independent. She loved to sing, as well as have backyard parties which consisted of throwing the kids into the pool, late nights playing Pinnacle and drinking the coldest coors beer she could find. She is survived by her daughter Michelle Knauer and two granddaughters Alexa and Catlyn Knauer. She is also survived by two younger sisters Linda Lang and Nancy Sheeley, brother-in-law Doug Sheeley and many cousins. June was a fighter and she fought for so long. She will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial is scheduled to take place at Marinello Funeral Home on December 20th from 9am to 11 am with a service beginning at 10:30am, 493 Middle Country Rd Coram, NY 11727. She will be buried following the conclusion of the memorial service at All Faiths Cemetery, 67-29 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, NY 11379. A lunch will follow at Vespa Italian Kitchen and Bar, 282 Main St, Farmingdale, NY 11735. All family and friends are invited to attend
