Julia Olinger LaMalva entered her eternal home on November 19, 2022. She was born in Remington, Virginia to parents Lois and Birdie Olinger. After graduating from high school, she went to work with the US State Department in Washington D.C. She married Pat LaMalva in 1961 and they continued to live in the D.C. area until the family moved to Conyers, Georgia in 1971. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a founding member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Conyers. After Grace Covenant closed, she became a member of Conyers Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband of 46 years and her infant son, John Warren LaMalva. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Karen and Mark Gaddy, her son and daughter in law, David and Anne LaMalva and her two grandchildren, Julia Caroline LaMalva and John Christian “Jack” LaMalva as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at Conyers Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am on November 22, 2022 with a lunch for everyone to follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you do something kind for someone else in Julie’s memory.
