John Alfred Finchum, Jr., age 82, of Dandridge, TN passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. He grew up in Oak Ridge and then graduated as an Engineer from the University of Tennessee. After working on rocket systems and schematics for Boeing and General Dynamics he went back to school and earned a Masters Degree in Business. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed greatly. John was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Hutchinson Finchum; parents, John Alfred Finchum, Sr. and Nelle Stepp Finchum. He is survived by his son, Mark and wife Connie; his grandchildren, Colton, Christa (and husband Billy), Kimberly (and husband Darin), and Julianna; he had seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. The family would like to express gratitude to Charter Memory Care and all their Staff, in Jefferson City, TN, for all the care, support, and love shown to their family during this season of life. Our family was blessed to have had you. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
