Obituary of Joan M. Sirles Joan M. Sirles, 79, of Verona, passed away Friday September 2nd, 2022 at Sitrin Health Care Center in New Hartford where she had been a resident for the past two years. Born in Syracuse, on April 1, 1943, she was the daughter of Merlin E. Lewis and Bertha “Marie” Sorenson. Joan was the wife of Harold H. Sirles. They were married in Norfolk, NY on Feb. 12th, 1966 and spent 45 years together until his passing in 2011. She is survived by her brother, children, and several grandchildren. Joan’s last days were spent in the presence of her daughter, Michelle, and three grandchildren; Tyler, Makenzie, and Madison. At her requests, no official services will be held and those wishing to pay respect may do so at their own discretion at the cemetery on Main Street in Verona.
