Joanne Lee Hibbard, 85, of Saginaw, our kind, caring and most generous sister passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at HealthSource Saginaw. Joanne was born in Oswego, New York on November 30, 1936, the daughter of the late Basil and Vivian (DuBois) Hibbard. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1954. Joanne continued her education and earned her Master’s degree in English Literature from Central Michigan University. She retired after 25 years of dedicated service as a teacher from the Tecumseh School District, Coleman Schools and the Washtenaw County Health Department. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playwriting, visiting museums and the opera. To carry on her legacy, Joanne leaves her brother, Greg Hibbard. Joanne was welcomed home by her parents. Joanne’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM until her 2:00 PM Memorial Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1550 Midland Rd., between State & Gratiot. Inurnment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
