Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Northview Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Lysaker officiating. Ms. Lysaker was born on January 13, 1935, to parents Walter and Nell Underwood Maddox. She was a lifelong resident of Laurens County, Georgia. She traveled with her parents and two siblings to build government structures during WWII and attended first grade at nine different locations. JoAnn was the wife of a Baptist preacher, held numerous positions within the church and was a charter member of the Free Will Baptist Church. JoAnn was employed with Superior Laundry for 25 years and then later worked at Allen Bradley and Hanger’s Dry Cleaners. JoAnn was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Nell Underwood Maddox; grandparents, Rev. Walter and Elizabeth Perry Maddox; husband, Rev. LCDR, Jack Thomas Lysaker; son, Maurice Daniel “Danny” Baggett; sister, Helen Ruth and Jimmy L. Bracewell. She passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital. JoAnn is survived by, Walter Lee and Catherine Baggett, Brenda and Russel Kinard; stepsons, Rev. Chuck and Cheryl Lysaker and Rev. Curtis Lysaker; brother, Walter Sonny (Kay) Maddox, grandchildren, Chris and Sarah Baggett, Stephanie and Daniel Lampp, James Walter Baggett, Timothy and Hannah Baggett, Aaron and Heidi Baggett, Richard Lysaker and Caitlin Lysaker; great grandchildren, Kiley, Lauralee, Isaiah Lee Baggett and Danilynn Lampp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
