Jerry Wayne Sanders, 70, of Burlison, passed away on Tuesday, November 8 at his home. Mr. Sanders was a retired heavy equipment operator, a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of the Beaver Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Jane Yates Sanders; two daughters, Leann Cox of Ripley and Tammy Cox of Covington; five sisters, Margie Moore of Hornsby, TN, Lorene Cossar of Bolivar, TN, Oma Lee Honey of Hornsby, TN, Joann Glidewell of Gladstone, MO and Betty Foster of Hornsby, TN; two brothers, Jesse Sanders of Henderson, TN and Jimmy Sanders of Dover, TN; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Sanders and Robert Sanders. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 12 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in the Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bolivar, TN. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, November 11 at the funeral home.
