Obituary Please share a memory of Jennie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book Jennie Ference was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She passed peacefully at her home Christmas morning at the age of 84 after a lengthy illness. She was born at her family home in Ludlow, MA towards the end of the Great Depression to Peter and Anna Yosinski and was the youngest of 9 siblings. She married John S. Ference on October 17,1958 and had 5 children (suffering the loss of one at an early age). She lived the challenging life of a military wife and mom for 20 years. They lived in France, Germany twice, and other bases stateside. Jennie was mostly a stay-at-home mom for many years but entered the workforce once her children were older. She worked and retired from Hoechst Celanese. Jennie was well loved by all those who knew her. She will mostly be remembered for her sweet childlike spirit. She laughed and loved well. She lived her life according to God’s Word, forgiving quickly and thinking of others. Although she had many challenges during her life, she left a legacy of a resilient spirit and a great attitude for anyone who knew her to model. Jennie loved going to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and doing her Bible studies. One of her favorite church activities was the fall festival where she faithfully purchased raffle tickets hoping to win the big prize or even the small ones playing BINGO. She was an avid puzzle builder and definitely had her favorites. She loved the Texas Rangers and never missed a game. Once she told one of her children that she’d have to check to see if the Rangers were playing before she could commit to coming to the wedding! Jennie loved dogs and always had one near her side. Most importantly she knew Jesus as her personal Savior and found encouragement and peace in listening to Worship music. It was such a gift to us for her to pass on Christmas Day. “Christmastime was Moms favorite time of year. Many fond memories of hours spent making and decorating Christmas cookies together, as well going to Midnight Mass. Much time and effort were made the last few Christmas’s to make them special for her. What JOY to know she entered heaven with the biggest Christmas celebration of all. She is preceded in death by her husband John who passed in 2010, daughter Sandra Jean who passed at the age of 2 in 1962, Mother Anna and Father Peter as well as all her 8 siblings. She is survived by her children Stephen, Susan, Cheryl, and Kenneth. Grandchildren Michael, Julie, Jenna, Justin, Anacelli, Brie, Gabriel, Kaila and Cassidy. Great Grandchildren Andrew, Levi, Ethan Nolan and another grandson due in February 2023. She was well loved and will be greatly missed.
