Janice Kaye Scott of Rolla, Missouri passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 03, 2022, at the age of eighty. She was born on January 30, 1942, in Rolla, Missouri to the late S.M. & Ethel P. (King) Tucker. Janice attended Rolla High School and was a graduate of the class of 1960. She married the love of her life, Henry John Scott also of Rolla, on September 21, 1974; they were blessed with three children and thirty-five years together. Janice was a Christian above anything else, accepting her Lord at the age of 12. Janice attended both Fort Wyman Baptist Church where she held many positions before moving to First Baptist Church. She enjoyed many hobbies, plants and flowers, sewing and quilting, she painted in oils, but watercolor was her passion. Janice had such a deep love for her family and spending time with them was precious to her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, but especially her faithful pet pug dog, Jazzy. Janice is survived by her children, Cyndi (Jeff) Leith of Montauk, Missouri, Tyson (Anita) Webb of Rolla, Missouri, and Melissa (Ken) Quinton of St. James, Missouri; brother, Michael (Sue) Tucker of Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren, Cora Bauer of St. James, Missouri, Kaitlyn Quinton of Mims, Florida, Jessie McCarthy of Lake Port, Florida, Jeremy Quinton of Republic, Missouri, and Matt Quinton of Ozark, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Caedon, Rylan, Madison, Benjamin, Gracella, Jemma and a new baby boy on the way, also her Aunt Dorothy who was so special to her, several cousins and extended family. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Grandparents George and Cora King, and Marion and Ella Tucker, her great-granddaughter, Presley and two additional great-grandchildren that passed too early to meet. Funeral service for Janice Kaye Scott will be held at 12:00PM on Tuesday, November 08, 2022, at the Rolla Chapel of the James and Gahr Mortuary, Rolla, Missouri with Pastor Steve Betts officiating. Interment will be in the Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, Missouri. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 11:00AM until service time at 12:00PM also at the Rolla Chapel of the James and Gahr Mortuary, Rolla, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to DCAWS (Dent County Animal Welfare Society). Cards are available at all James and Gahr locations.
