Obituary JANE MARIE ZICKES, age 84 of Parma, was born April 25, 1938 and passed away Sept. 13, 2022. Beloved daughter of Dr. John Zickes and Marie (Nousek) (both deceased). Devoted sister of John (Pat), Mary Ann (Robert, deceased) and Bob (Fran). She was a proud Aunt to Greg Thein (Jamye), Michael Zickes (Kathy), Dave Thein (Jill), Susan Bentley (Scott), Laurann Collins (Michael), Ben Zickes and the late Tony Zickes. She also enjoyed her many great nieces and nephews, and as a former teacher loved to hear about the latest in their efforts in school and extracurriculars. Jane dedicated her professional life to teaching, with a career spanning over 40 years, primarily at her alma mater, St. Augustine Academy in Lakewood where she served as a science teacher and head of the department. She was a devout member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Parma, avid tennis, softball, volleyball player and a lover of cats. Family will receive friends to celebrate the life of Jane from 6-8 p.m. Friday Sept. 23, 2022 in the Tomon & Sons Funeral Home, 7323 Pearl Road (South of Bagley Rd.), Middleburg Hts., OH 44130. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 24, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 6750 State Road, Parma, OH 44134. Burial services will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
