James’ Obituary James Robert Steele Sr., 86 of Princeton went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Princeton Health Care Center. Born August 8, 1936, in Washington D.C. He was the son of the late Charles Clyde and Ellie Mae Steele. James was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served 2 years in the regular Army, Honorable Discharged in 1951 in Artillery. James worked at Waylons Drug Store in Washington D.C. for many years. In 1981, he started at Kwik Kafe in Bluefield VA, where he eventually retired in 2014. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Steele; Son, James Robert Steele Jr. and wife Linda of Princeton; Granddaughter Kayla Farmer and husband Jeremy of Princeton; Great-granddaughter Allie; Two siblings, Evelyn Funk of NC and Robert Steele of MD. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 9, 2022, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor J.P. Mays officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
