Pratt – James “Jim” Milton Shriver, 80, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 surrounded by family. He was born on March 13, 1942 in Pratt to Paul and Wanda (Storey) Shriver. James graduated from Coats High School in 1960. He attended Pratt Junior College and Pitt State. He worked as a farmer. He enjoyed racing and building race cars and Model A’s, trains, farming, meeting his friends for breakfast, lunch or coffee and family time. He is survived by his sons, Gary (Teresa) Shriver of Liberty, Missouri, Rick (Julie) Shriver of Coats and Christian Shriver of Dodge City; sister, Prudy (Ken) Lewton of Coats; grandchildren, Braeden Shriver, Josh Shriver, Keaton (Julia Myers) Sunley, Jared (Nicole Voss) Shriver and Colby (Morgan Polson) Shriver; and great-grandchildren, Bella Sunley and Emmy Myers. James “Jim” is preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book Monday, November 14. 2022 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Larrison Mortuary with John Hamm presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date at Coats Cemetery, Coats. Memorials may be made to Skyline FFA in care of Larrison Mortuary.
