Obituary James J Davis of Johnstown, passed away peacefully at Arbutus Park Manor. Jim was born in Kittanning, Pa. He is proceeded in death by his parents Bert and Elva, brothers Bill, Bert, Max, sister Doris, grandson Gary James, and the love of his life Gerri who he lovingly called Kid. Jim was the last living survivor of his immediate family. He is survived by 2 daughters, Tammy (fiancĂ© Rod Parks)of Florida. Cathy (fiancĂ© A.J DePra) of Geistown. Granddaughters Celia (Tom) Eissey of Florida, Chelsea (Steve) Penna of Florida, Cheyenne (Adam) Trabold of Richland, and Sierra Alwine of Virginia. Great Grandchildren Ryker & Harper Eissey and Charlotte Trabold. Many nieces, nephews and great nieces, great nephews. Jim is also survived by Troy Henderson who he always said was like a son to him over the years. Jim was in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1957-1963. Jim attended Pitt Main Campus and also The School of Mortuary Science in Massachusetts. He met and married his soulmate Geraldine in 1958. He owned his own Funeral Home in Kittanning before moving to Zelienople and working for Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home. In 1975 the family moved to Johnstown and Jim worked for Henderson Funeral Home until he retired. He made many great friends in his lifetime and was known for and will be remembered for his humor and jokes. Jim asked to please not be sad for his passing but be happy because he is finally back with his soulmate “Kid”. Friends will be received Friday from 3-7 at John Henderson Co.
