James Albert Stapleton, age 87, of New Market, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022. As the youngest of 15 children, James grew up on a farm, where they were taught the value of true work ethic. He was a farmer and Mill Foreman at Asarco Mines. After retirement from the mines, he became the Maintenance Supervisor for the City of New Market. James loved his wife and his family, and wanted to be with Jesus. He was funny, and proud, with a fiery personality. He is finally at peace and rejoicing with his Jean, Tammy and lots of family and friends. His daughters, Elaine and Venecia are sad but blessed to know their Dad is now at peace and with Jesus and the love of is life, our mom. He was proceeded in death by his wife, who he was crazy in love with, Jean Arnold Stapleton; daughter, Tammy French; and all of his siblings. He leaves behind his daughters, Elaine Stapleton and Venecia (Tim) Large, son-in-law, Tommy French; grandchildren, Chuck (Amber) Smith, Brandon (Lauren) Smith, Codee Weaver, Luci (Matt) Horner, Corey Churchman and partner, Kayla Howe and John-Logan Churchman; 9 great-grandchildren, Brayden Nelson, Harley, Keagan, Kamden, Kylen, Kaysen Smith, Caden and Skye Weaver, Charli Churchman. Graveside service 11:00 am Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Jefferson Memorial Garden with Rev. Don Bowery officiating. In honor of Mr. Stapleton and his dislike of formal attire, the family kindly request that everyone please dress casual. Arrangements by Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
