View Tribute Book Voorheesville, NY – Huguette Elliott passed away on November 22, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born in Quebec City, Quebec, one of 11 children to Albertine and Romeo Bedard. She was always proud of her Canadian family and heritage. Huguette came to the United States in 1964 and moved to Voorheesville in 1968. She leaves two daughters, Andree Elliott (David Comegys) of Altamont NY, and Jennifer Elliott of Dunedin, Florida; and two grandchildren, Bart Comegys of Boston, Massachusetts and Kara Comegys of Bloomington, Illinois. Huguette enjoyed a long career at the New York State Department of Labor. She loved world travel, the outdoors, interior design, gardening and especially all of her cats over the years. She was a friend of animals and volunteered for many years at Whiskers Animal Benevolent League, a haven for rescued cats. Huguette cherished many close friendships that spanned decades, especially those of her neighbors who became an extended family to her, her colleagues at work and her fellow volunteers at the shelter. At Huguette’s request, services will not be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Whiskers, PO Box 11190, Albany NY 12211 or would be welcomed.
