View Tribute Book Gregory “Greg” “Happy” Keith Alvey, 60, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville. Greg was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 3, 1962 to Sylvester and Carolyn (Rainey) Alvey. He was a unique man and had a kind soul. Greg enjoyed spending time in nature. He loved his family dearly and was always willing to help others. Greg briefly served in the National Guard. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. Greg is survived by his daughter, Staci Cooper of Evansville, IN; sons, Andrew Alvey and Justin Alvey, both of Evansville, IN; step-son, Anthony Mayes of Evansville, IN; his parents; sister, Joan Alvey of Evansville, IN; brothers, Dan Alvey of Fort Branch, IN and Bill Alvey of Evansville, IN; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Selma Alvey, Mildred Benton, Herman Rainey, and Addison Alvey; and ex-wife, Lisa Mayes Alvey Anderson. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
