View Tribute Book Grace Schmidt (nee Lionetti) 95, passed away peacefully on December 21 after a brief illness. Originally from Jersey City, NJ Grace was the daughter of a retail florist. She grew up in the business working beside her dad and siblings. She married Richard Schmidt and together they raised their family in Leonia, NJ where she became a popular kindergarten teacher. After retiring Grace worked in the greenhouses at Vaughan’s Farm and Garden, her daughter and son in law’s business. She remained there until her 92nd year. Grace was predeceased by her husband Richard, her parents Anthony and Teresa Lionetti, her siblings Fabian , Anthony, And Robert Lionetti, and her sister Josephine Ciccarelli. Grace is survived by her son Richard and Deborah Schmidt of Pompano Beach Fl and Brick NJ, daughter Barbara and John Vaughan of Beesleys Point NJ , two grandsons John Vaughan of Beesleys Pt, Stewart and Jennifer Vaughan of Beesleys Point, one grand daughter Christina Vaughan and Yifan Wu of Livingston ,NJ. Also survived by her great grandchildren Mason, Maddox, Merrick, and Luciano Vaughan and Bruce and Charlotte Grace Wu. Grace was lovingly tended by her caregiver Beatrice. A prayer service graveside will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
