Obituary of George Peter Stratigos George Peter Stratigos, 74, of Stamford, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home. Born on October 15, 1948 in Rockville Centre, Long Island, he was the son of the late Peter and Helen (Malone) Stratigos. George lived in Manhattan for many years and worked there as a large format photographic printer; his prints appeared in many iconic locations: Grand Central Terminal, Times Square, Yankee Stadium, The United Nations and elsewhere. He moved to the beautiful Catskills in the mid 90s and worked at SUNY Delhi’s food service department while rebuilding his old farmhouse in South Gilboa. George enjoyed hiking with his dogs and raising Koi fish. He was an avid reader and history buff. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Linda Stratigos, his brother Paul (Carol) Stratigos of Stamford, niece Emma Stratigos of Syracuse, brother-in-law Fred Trautman of New Mexico and many cousins and dear friends. There will be no calling hours or funeral service at this time.
