George L. Harris, 90, of Palmyra, passed away on Saturday December 3, 2022 at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Anna Mae (Bowman) Harris, who passed away in 2003. George was born in Pine Grove on August 22, 1932 to the late John and Lizzie (Wolfe) Harris. He had worked as a routeman for a vending company. He was a member of Encounter Church/Palmyra Brethren in Christ. George loved his family. He is survived by his children, Larry G. Harris of Lancaster, Brenda Bell (Alan) of Palmyra, Wendy Dewalt (Craig) of Palmyra, Kim Harris of Lebanon, Sharon Fitting (Tom) of Lebanon, grandchildren, David, Brian, Nicole, Dalton, Tanner, great grandchildren, Krysta, David, Addison, Turner, and a sister Joyce Miller of Martinsburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Craig Dewalt, II, and siblings, Edwin Harris and Leon Harris. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 11AM at Encounter Church, 220 Campbelltown Road, Palmyra. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. There will be a visitation from 10AM until 11AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital, In Memory of his grandson, Craig Dewalt, II.
