Obituary Fred ” Butch” Bonack, 90, a lifelong resident of Three Lakes, passed away January 7, 2022 at Rennes Rehab Center in Rhinelander, WI. Fred was born August 8, 1931, in Three Lakes to Fred and Maxine Bonack. On May 15, 1954, he married the love of his life, Yvonne (née Greene). He was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather who always put his family first. Fred was very active in his community. In his early years, he was a volunteer on the Three Lakes Fire Department and a member of the American Legion Post 431. He was also a member of the Three Lakes Town Board and Three Lakes Sanitary District for many years. Fred served in the Army during the Korean War, where he operated heavy equipment and continued to do so with his own business, Bonack Excavating until his retirement. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne, on November 13,2021. Also preceding him in death were his sisters: baby Mary Eileen, Lola Baas and Dona Lehman: son Jeff Bonack and son in law Wayne Rychlock. Fred is survived by his children: Kathy (Bob) Martin, Ben (Janet) Bonack, Matt Bonack and Mary Jo Rychlock: eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Brothers: Duane, Bill and Frank Bonack and sisters: Alma Conway and Vicki Pitlik. A joint funeral service will be held in the spring for Fred and Yvonne. Read more
