Frank Chambers of Arcadia. MO entered into rest on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the age of 80 years, 11 months, and 9 days. He was born August 19, 1941 in Belleview, MO to the late Earl B. and Wilma Bernice (Rice) Chambers. On June 20, 1964, Frank was united in marriage to Janice “Jan” (Riley) Chambers who survives. To this union two daughters were born, Holly Richmond and husband Erik of Smyrna, GA, and Kelly Turner and husband Dale of Farmington, MO, both of whom survive. Also surviving Frank are five granddaughters, Quinn Richmond, Angie Turner, Rachel Turner, Riley Turner, and Cassandra Mough; six great-grandchildren, Wesley, Adelyn, Barrett, Cianna, Hayden, and Alivia; four sisters, Mary German, Lois Preuett, Lola Fry, and Carol Fisher; and many more loving family members and friends. He is preceded in rest by his parents and a sister Jean Gibbs. Frank graduated from Ironton High School in 1959, and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps for five years. After his military service and marriage to Jan, Frank went on to work for the Asarco-Doe Run plant in Glover for 33 years. He retired in 2001 when his twin granddaughters were born; he didn’t want to miss out on being a grandfather (and what a wonderful grandfather he was). Frank was also the owner and operator of his own farm, a member of the A.V. Elks Lodge, the A.V. Country Club, a master hunter of deer, donated his time as a volunteer for the V.A. in Farmington, and a faithful member of the A.V. United Methodist Church of Ironton. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Frank will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love him. A Visitation for Frank’s family to welcome friends will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 beginning at 5:00 pm and lasting until 8:00 pm from the Cole Family Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am from the Arcadia Valley United Methodist Church in Ironton, MO. Interment will follow the services in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park with full Military Honors. Rev. Barron Willer will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elks Scholarship fund in honor of Frank Chambers.
