Mrs. Frances Multari of the Town of Greenville, NY died Saturday, November 26, 2022 at home with her family by her side. She was 71. She was born October 28, 1951 in Providence, RI the daughter of the late Saul Abramowitz and the late Helen Sergy Abramowitz. Fran married Nick Multari 48 years ago on August 18, 1974 in New York City, NY. Fran lived a good life and will be greatly missed. She earned a bachelor’s in mathematics from SUNY Buffalo, and most recently worked for many years as a Tax Collector for Montague Township in Montague, NJ. She served as a member of the Greenville Volunteer Ambulance Corps and in the town government. Fran loved to read, sew and knit, and do puzzles in her free time. She supported many charities focused on children, healthcare, animals, and environmental protection. Fran loved her family and cared deeply for those around her. Surviving are: Her husband, Nicholas M. Multari at home. Her daughter, Caroline Multari and her husband Steven Voorhees of Bethlehem, PA. Her brother, Mitchell Cutler and his wife Gretchen Lindensmith of Brooklyn, NY. Her three sisters: Hoda Szymanski of the Town of Greenville, NY; Lesli Cutler of Bronx, NY and Robyn Cutler and her husband Jeffrey Elgarten of Bronx, NY. Two grandchildren: Ari Multari Voorhees and Simon Multari Voorhees. Her brother-in-law: Tony Cingari and sisters-in-law: Maria Cappa, Theresa Cutugno and Millie Multari. Also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Multari, her brother, David Abramowitz, her sister-in-Law, Frances Cingari and her brothers-in-law: Joseph Szymanski, Carmine Cappa, Joseph Multari and Joseph Cutugno. Visitation will be at GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 100 East Main Street Port Jervis on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm also on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 10:00am – 11:00am. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 11:00 am from Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis, NY with Rabbi Meir Borenstin, Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery, Town of Greenville, NY.
