Obituary Please share a memory of Fern to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book Fern Frederick, age 94, a resident of Watersmeet, MI died on November 19, 2022. She was born in Merrill, WI on February 7, 1928 to Fred and Elsie Sabatke. Fern graduated from Marquette University and worked as a Dental Hygienist for 33 years. She and her husband Ron moved to Land O’Lakes in 1979. They owned and operated the Rusty Nail II for 11 years. Fern also worked part time at the Redman Supper Club. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary 8400 in Land O’Lakes, charter member of Northern Lites Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, and a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Fern is survived by her children: Kim Eberly, Mark Frederick, Paul Frederick; sister: Jane Grundy; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald; sister: Elaine Tower; brother: Lyle Sabatke; and parents. A graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery will be held in the spring. Read more
