Rogers, 95, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 4:27 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2022 at St. John United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob Hoffman and Rev. Mike Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A native of Gibson County, TN she was born May 5, 1927 the daughter of the late William Andrew Goodwin and Frances Isabell Northcott Griffin. She was a graduate of Nashville General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at the Caldwell County Public Health Department from 1954-1959. She would later work at the Christian County Public Health Department where she served as Clinic Coordinator and Respiratory Disease Coordinator from 1971-1985. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, D.E. Rogers. Survivors include her children: Ann R. (Harlan C.) Peden II of Westerville, OH, Andrew Everett Rogers, Sr. of Hopkinsville, KY, and Darcy Lynn (Ronald Combs) Rogers of Crofton, KY; her grandchildren: Harlan C. (Lisa) Peden III, Andrew Everett Rogers, Jr., Emily (Erich) Lacks, and Billie Lynn (Marc) London; and her great grandchildren: William Everett Peden, Weston Chase Peden, Jeremiah Daniel Lacks, Raymond Wayne Lacks, Emma Catherine London, and Claire Evelyn London. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Methodist Children’s Home, WNKJ Christian Radio, or Pennyroyal Hospice. Read more
