Obituary Ethel Mae Chandler, 87, passed away on November 23, 2022, at Jefferson Healthcare in Jefferson, Ohio. She was born on May 12, 1935, in Pierpont, Ohio, the daughter of Woodrow Wilson and Hazel Whysong. Ethel married James Chandler on November 21, 1953, they shared sixty-three years of wonderful marriage together until his passing in early 2017. Ethel was a homemaker and took great pride in raising her son and keeping a well-maintained home. Ethel enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards and gardening. She was a member of the Hickory Nuts Golf League and a former Hickory Grove Club Champion and shot a hole in one at Hickory Grove. Since 1997 she has spent her winters in Mission, Texas. She is survived by her grandson, Brett A. Chandler, her siblings: Gerald “Pete” Wilson, Carl Wilson and Katherine “Kay” Cork and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Chandler and her son, Craig Chandler. Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 10:00a-12:00p with a funeral service to follow at 12:00p at Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street in Jefferson, Ohio.
