Estella R. (Banks) Bowie, 69 of York, PA, died at her residence on December 16, 2022. She was the wife of Thomas Adrover, Jr. Born May 5, 1953 in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilmon Tuttie and Ruben (Atterberry) Banks. Estella was a nursing assistant for various medical facilities in the York area for twenty years. Following her nursing career, she was employed as a supervisor of the Residential Program at Bell Socialization in York. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in York and was a volunteer for the York County Elections. Estella is survived by two daughters, Treva Bowie of Jacksonville, FL and Jabot Woodard of York, PA; two sons, Chuck Bowie of York, PA and Brandon Bowie of Stuart, VA; A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA. A public viewing will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. In honoring Estella’s wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service. Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA.
