Obituary Elmer C. Williams, age 83 of Sevierville passed away Thursday August 18, 2022. Elmer was an active member of Abundant Life Worship Center, Sevierville. Elmer was a loving and devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend. He was a generous, kind and loving man, always lending a hand to anyone in need. Strong, independent and determined in all aspects of life and honest to a fault. Loyal to family, friends and community. He was a hard-working, genuine man. He could play many instruments but in the later years, drums were his instrument of choice. He performed with many bands over the years and traveled to many areas to perform at various functions. He always considered this a joy and a privilege to perform with so many talented artists. Papaw was a wealth of knowledge, taking Zach, his grandson, under his wing and teaching him everything he could with much patience and love. Papaw loved sharing his musical talents and his talents in working with his hands with Zach, creating many special memories. Papaw considered all this time such a pleasure and a joy. When it came to his grandson Caleb’s bowling, Papaw was Caleb’s #1 fan, attending every match that he could. He would cheer and encourage Caleb as well as all the other team members, garnering much respect and love. Papaw was a larger-than-life role model for both his grandsons.
