Edmond Earl Moffit, age 65, of Altus, Arkansas, died, Saturday, December 3, 2022, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born August 5, 1957 in Ozark, Arkansas to Ervie Raymond and Ethel Irene Qualls Moffit. Edmond worked in Oklahoma for his Uncle for ten years, met Sharyl Renee Robinson who became his wife in 1986, moved back to Ozark in 1987, worked almost 30 years for Tyson foods in Clarksville, Arkansas before he became disabled, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his parents; and maternal and paternal grandparents, Milo Eugene and Mary Leora Moffit, and William Walter and Bessie Ethel Qualls. Edmond is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharyl Moffit; his loving pets, Cocoa and Freckles of Altus; three brothers, Virgil Moffit and wife Linda, Clifford Moffit and wife Connie, and Paul Moffit, all of Alix, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Open viewing/visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark, with Brother Steve Sawrie officiating, with burial at Houston Cemetery Alix, Arkansas, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dustin Moffit, Brian Moffit, Christopher Moffit, Dustin Green, Virgil Ogelsby, and Jeff McCormick. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Moffit and Jerry Sampley.
