Duane Anthony Kopp, age 88, of Mapleton, passed away on December 10, 2022. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, with visitation one hour prior. The service will be livestreamed and available on Duane’s obituary page at www.mankatomortuary.com Duane was born on May 17, 1934, in Mankato to Ambrose and Margaret (Willock) Kopp. He met his life partner, Rosalie in 1955 and they enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Duane joined the U.S. Marine Corps at age 17 during which he served in the Korean War and Honorably separated in 1955. He worked for 47 years as a concrete truck driver. Duane enjoyed fishing, was an avid Vikings fan and most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was very loved and honored by all his family and friends. Duane is survived by his son; daughter, Pamela (Jeffrey) Wesley of North Mankato; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Duane was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie; parents, Ambrose and Margaret Kopp; and 3 brothers, Richard, Roland and Jerome.
