Dorothy Victoria “Vicky” Caldwell, 72, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 1:55 PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at her home in Hannibal, MO. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO. Rev. Rick Chapman will officiate. Friends and Family are invited to Vicky’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, MO. Vicky was born October 1, 1950, in Hannibal, MO to James Albert Harris and Betty June Pope Harris. She was formerly married to James L. Lambert. He preceded her in death. Vicky later married Albert Ray Caldwell Sr. on July 17, 1972, in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2003. Survivors include her two children, Deborah Sue Nichols (Robert) of Hannibal, MO, and Albert Ray Caldwell Jr. (Deanie Duncan) of Hannibal, MO; four brothers, James Russell Harris (Betty Lou) of Hannibal, MO, Danny Lee Harris (Vicki) of Hull, IL, Michael Eugene Harris (Linda) of Hull, IL, and Jerry Wayne Harris (Rhonda) of Hull, IL; one sister, Carolyn Sue Lucas of Iowa; three grandchildren, Cody Robert Nichols, Kelsi Victoria Nichols, and Kirk Ray Caldwell; two great grandchildren, Bricen Nichols-Hayden, and Warren James Astorino; and several nieces and nephews. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Gary W. Harris. Over the years Vicky operated a daycare out of her home, worked as a waitress and served as an assistant supervisor in housekeeping at the Hannibal Inn. Sassy, compassionate and always up for a good time, Vicky loved to make others laugh and was a free spirit. She loved to sew and crochet and was naturally talented as a home decorator. Her home displayed many of her favorite collections of angels, butterflies, porcelain dolls and Thomas Kincaid prints. One of Vicky’s most unique collectibles were suits of armor of the medieval times theme. Soap operas, Wizard of Oz and VC Andrews books were a few of Vicky’s favorites. A wonderful cook, Vicky made amazing homemade noodles and always treated her grandchildren to their favorites when she hosted them. “Grandma Vicky” loved her family and always treasured the moments they shared together. Vicky was a Christian by faith. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Loving Care Hospice.
