Hannes, (nee – Brudney), 87, of Amherst, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio after a brief illness. She was born August 20, 1934, in Bairdford, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Mary (nee – Zilka) Brudney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn C. Hannes, her twin sister, Dolores Worcester (Jim), her brother, Leonard Brudney (Carol) and her sister Josephine Gaul (Ray). Dorothy is survived by five nieces and two nephews: Lynn Gaddis (Ken), Lisa Holden (Todd), Nicole Righini (John), Allison Brudney (Rob), Jennifer Hengelsberg (Gary), Aaron Gaul, and Joshua Brudney (Jennifer) along with four great nieces, seven great nephews and one great, grandniece. Dorothy loved her family and friends and was a generous and caring person. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite organization. Arrangements are being handled by King Funeral Home, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park, PA. There will be no visitation. There will be a blessing and commitment service at King Funeral Home on Saturday, August 13 at 1:00 pm. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Cheswick, Pennsylvania. Read more

  1. Dorothy was such a thoughtful person ! I would get fairlife milk especially chocolate for her frequently ! Dorothy loved her chocolate milk ! We both somehow were able to get her cell phone working better! She will be missed !
