Charles “Don” Donovan Gross, 95, of Trenton, GA passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 23, 2022. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held with burial at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Don was born December 9, 1927 to the late Henry and Ruby Richie Gross in Deemer, MS. He owned and operated Gross Furniture in Trenton, GA. Don was a founding member of the Trenton Fire Department and served as Assistant Chief until 1980. He served on the Board of Directors at the Bank of Dade from 1977 – 2021 and was a former member of the Trenton City Council. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Gross. Left to cherish his memory his loving wife of 68 years, Ruth Wilson Gross; children, Gary (Susan) Gross and Stan (Benita) Gross; grandchildren; Kyle (Courtney) Gross, Reed (Starla) Gross, Brandi (Tanner) Clark and Holly (Brandon) Whetzell; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Clark, Adilynn Gross, Trever Gross, Collins Clark, Chandler Gross and Tucker Gross.
